Weekend Traffic Advisory

Each week NYC DOT posts a list of streets, bridges, highways, and tunnels that are temporarily closed for planned construction activities, special events, parades, and other events. A preliminary advisory is posted early in the week and is updated when the final advisory is posted on Friday. This information is subject to change including all event dates, times, and routes, and does not reflect closures due to emergency situations nor long-term construction projects.

Perry Street between Washington Street and Greenwich Street

This street will be closed from 9am to 4pm Monday to Friday through September 27, 2026 for system upgrade.

This street will be closed from 7am to 6pm Monday to Friday through October 30, 2026 to facilitate crane operation for vertical enlargement of building structure.

Jane Street between Joe DiMaggio Highway and Washington Street

This street will be closed from 7am to 6pm Monday to Friday, and 8am to 4pm Saturday through September 4, 2026 for booming and pumping operations for new building construction.

Elizabeth Street between East Houston Street and Bleecker Street

This street will be closed from 9am to 4pm Monday to Friday through August 25, 2026 for installation of conduit for system reinforcement.

This street will be closed from 11:30pm to 7am Sunday through August 29, 2026 to facilitate crane operation.

Riverside Drive Service Road between West 110th Street and West 111th Street

This street will be closed from 9am to 4pm Friday through August 31, 2026 for Con Edison Gas and Electrical utilities.

Riverside Drive (Northbound Service Road) between West 152nd Street and West 153rd Street

This street will be closed 24/7 through August 25, 2026 for contract# HBM 1165 rehab.

FDR Drive between Montgomery Street and East 15 Street

Single-lane northbound and/or southbound will be closed Monday to Thursday from 10pm to 5am next morning, Saturday from 12:01am to 9am, and Sunday from 1am to 11am. Double-lane will be closed Tuesday to Friday from 1am to 5am, Saturday from 1am to 7am, and Sunday from 1am to 7am. These closures are necessary to facilitate median reconstruction and will continue through August 15, 2026.

FDR Drive Southbound between Jackson Street and Cherry Street

Single-lane will be closed Friday from 11pm to 7am next morning, and Sunday from 11pm to 10am next morning. Double-lane will be closed Tuesday to Friday from 1am to 5am, Saturday from 1am to 6am, and Sunday from 1am to 7am. These closures are necessary to facilitate East Side Coastal Resiliency Project and will continue through September 11, 2026.

Greenpoint Avenue Bridge over Newtown Creek

As of Monday July 20th, 2026, and intermittently through Friday August 14th, 2026, a single lane will be closed on either Eastbound or Westbound direction (not at the same time) from 11pm to 5am Monday to Friday. During repairs, the bike lanes will be open on both directions. One lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained at all times. Traffic will be restored to its original configuration after work hours. These closures are necessary for conducting repairs on Greenpoint Avenue Bridge, as permitted by NYCDOT Bridges.

12th Street between 30th Avenue and 30th Road

This street will be closed from 9am to 4pm Friday through September 8, 2026 for boom deliveries.

34th Avenue between Seaver Way (126th Street) and 126 Place

This street will be closed 24/7 to install a storm and sanitary sewer main (one piles)-Willets point phase 2 infrastructure project.
