NYC Summer Streets

Summer Streets is an annual celebration of New York City's most valuable public space – our streets.

Summer Streets takes place on select Saturdays between 7am and 3pm. Miles of NYC’s streets are open in both directions for people to play, walk, and bike. Take a break along the route at one of our rest stops to enjoy free activities. Summer Streets provides space for healthy recreation and encourages New Yorkers to use more sustainable forms of transportation. In 2023, Summer Streets expanded to the five boroughs creating nearly 20 miles of Car-Free Streets.

Through the support of Lyft and Citi, Citi Bike will offer free day passes for all riders to enjoy unlimited 30-minute rides on a classic Citi Bike during Summer Streets. To redeem your free pass, enter promo code CITISUMMER24! on the “Daypass” tab of the Citi Bike app. While supplies last.
