Bike Events

Each spring and fall, NYC DOT celebrates cycling by hosting events for Bike Month (May) and Biketober (October).

We also publish self-guided rides to showcase our city's growing bike network, community amenities, and featured destinations. Whether you're going on a self-guided ride, riding through a park, or planning your commute on two wheels, brush up on safe cycling tips. Looking for the NYC Bike Map? Visit nyc.gov/bikemap.

NYC E-Bike Health Study

NYC E-Bike study slogan "your ride, your health" with an icon of a riderless electric bike and a heart.

NYU and NYC DOT are studying how cycling impacts heart health and how the streets around you influence the choices you make.

Visit the NYC E-Bike Study website and tell us about e-bikes in your neighborhood (survey closes in August)
