Commissioner in Your Borough
Commissioner Ydanis Rodriguez is reimagining community outreach.
Throughout the year, the Commissioner and NYC DOT executive staff meet with community representatives to better understand the transportation needs of individual communities. They spend the entire day in a borough to gain insights into the main transportation issues facing the area.
During these visits, the Commissioner:
- Participates in community events to discuss local transportation issues
- Visits our hard-working crews
- Distributes safety literature and equipment to delivery workers and cyclists
- Meets with local elected officials and business owners
- Builds strong partnerships with local community-based organizations
- Highlights local NYC DOT initiatives
Partner with us
We encourage community leaders and stakeholders, civic institutions, and cultural organizations to partner with us. We welcome partnerships to co-host engagement forums or share ideas to improve local engagement around NYC DOT initiatives.
