Jake Turetsky, Assistant Commissioner of Analytics and Performance Management

Jake Turetsky is the Assistant Commissioner of Analytics and Performance Management (APM) for NYC DOT. He oversees the executive data analytics and management support group that provides a variety of business intelligence services. These services help agency management improve internal processes, make better informed decisions, and help NYC DOT deliver more efficient, effective, and equitable services.

APM is comprised of four units:

  • Performance Management is responsible for the ongoing monitoring of performance metrics, executive review of performance trends, and development of various reporting and analytical tools.
  • Asset Management creates and maintains the agency's spatial inventory of assets and projects to help business units optimally manage their operations.
  • Project Delivery monitors the delivery of the agency's capital portfolio by overseeing project schedules and the enterprise resource planning system used to manage the program.
  • Public Data manages the agency's Open Data initiative ensuring compliance with the City's Open Data Law and the 311 Management team supports the agency in providing a high level of customer service.

Jake has worked at NYC DOT since 2013 in a variety of roles, most recently as the Senior Director of Performance, Data, and Asset Management. Jake has a Master's in Public Administration from Syracuse University, and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Syracuse University.
