The New York City Department of Transportation announced overnight lane closures on the Queensboro Bridge to facilitate repairs to the South Upper Roadway beginning Wednesday night, October 19th to Thursday morning, October 20th. From 11 pm to Midnight, one of two lanes on the south upper roadway eastbound to Queens will be closed. From 12:01 to 5 am the south upper roadway to Queens will be fully closed to vehicular traffic. During these times there will be 3 lanes to Queens, open on the lower roadways. Variable Message Signs (VMS) have been placed in Manhattan to alert motorists of these closures.
