Traffic Advisory: FDR Drive Lane Closures
The New York City Department of Transportation announces lane closures on the southbound FDR, from 42nd Street to 38th Street, will be in effect over-night, on Sunday, June 5th, Monday, June 6th and Tuesday, June 7th. The lane closures are necessary to mill and pave the roadway. Sunday night's milling work will begin at 2 am and end at 9 am. The roadway will be paved on Monday, June 6th and Tuesday, June 7th from 1 am to 5 am.
In addition, this weekend's special events include the Salute to Israel Parade in Manhattan on Sunday, June 5th, from 11 am to 5 pm. The street closures will be from 56th Street between Park Avenue and 7th Avenue and north on 5th Avenue from 57th Street to 79th Street. Also the Philippine Independence Day Parade and Festival in Manhattan from 11 am to 6 pm. The street closures will be from 27th Street to 41st Street on Madison Avenue.
