The New York City Department of Transportation (DOT) in conjunction with the Department of Sanitation (DOS) announced today the declaration of a snow emergency, which will go into effect at 6am on Sunday January 23rd. Motorists should avoid standing or parking on snow emergency streets.

In addition the City has suspended alternate side parking (asp) regulations for Monday January 24th and Tuesday January 25th to facilitate snow removal. Parking meters are expected to remain in effect throughout the City.
