Housing and Land Use

Leads CB4’s review of land use, zoning, and housing policy, with a focus on affordability, displacement, and neighborhood character.

Core Responsibilities:

• Review and make recommendations on ULURP and non‑ULURP actions, zoning text amendments, and major development proposals.
• Monitor affordable housing production, preservation, tenant protection, and code enforcement issues.
• Coordinate with NYC Planning, NYC Housing Preservation and Development, NYC Buildings, and other agencies on policy and project-level matters.
• Hold public hearings and forums to gather community input on major land use questions.
• Recommend land use, housing, and capital/expense budget priorities to the full board.

Meets: jointly with the Economic Development Committee on the last Tuesday of the month at 6pm. Please check the board's calendar or contact the district office to confirm the next committee meeting date and time.
