Parks and Recreation

Oversees parks, open space, and recreational programming in CB4, with a strong focus on equity of access and maintenance.

Core Responsibilities:

Monitor park conditions, maintenance, safety, and programming needs across all district parks and playgrounds.
Review and comment on park capital projects, designs, and concessions.
Elevate community priorities for new open space, playgrounds, and green infrastructure.
Recommend capital and expense budget items related to parks and recreational facilities.

Meets: jointly with the Environmental Protection/Transportation/Sanitation on the third or fourth Monday of every other month or as needed. Please check the board's calendar or contact the district office to confirm the next committee meeting date and time.
