Arts/Culture/Technology
Oversees arts, cultural programming, and technology access and infrastructure affecting residents, businesses, and institutions in CB4.
Core Responsibilities:
- Review and support arts and culture initiatives, festivals, and public programming.
- Track access to libraries, cultural institutions, and creative youth programs.
- Monitor technology equity (public Wi‑Fi, public computer access, digital literacy, tech in schools and community centers).
- Provide recommendations on capital/expense budget requests related to arts, culture, and technology.
- Coordinate with relevant agencies and community-based organizations (e.g., libraries, NYC Youth and Community Development, NYC Public Schools, cultural orgs, tech partners).
Meets: jointly with the Youth and Education Committee as needed. Please check the board's calendar or contact the district office to confirm the next committee meeting date and time.
