Health/Human Service/Senior Citizens/Veterans

Oversees health, social services, aging, and veterans’ issues in CB4.

Core Responsibilities:

• Monitor access to primary care, hospitals, clinics, behavioral health, and prevention programs.
• Engage human service providers on food access, homelessness, mental health, and substance use services.
• Track programs and facilities serving seniors and older adults (senior centers, home care, benefits access, etc.).
• Liaise with veterans’ organizations and agencies on benefits access, housing, employment, and wellness.
• Recommend programmatic and budget priorities to improve health and human service outcomes in the district.

Meets: jointly with the Civic/Public Safety/Religious Committee on the second Thursday of the month as needed. Please check the board's calendar or contact the district office to confirm the next committee meeting date and time.
