Health/Human Service/Senior Citizens/Veterans

The Health/Human Service/Senior Citizens/Veterans Committee focuses on matters pertaining to the delivery of social and healthcare services to all populations within the district and may consider proposals for additional service-based programs and special population housing. The Committee maintains a strong working relationship with area hospitals and health care providers to ensure adequate services are provided to the community.

As it relates to senior citizens, the committee also reviews and monitors service delivery issues affecting the district's senior citizen population, as well as, maintains a working relationship with the Department for the Aging and the public and private agencies that provide senior citizen services within the district. Additionally, the Committee helps disseminate information to the public about senior citizen resources, including, but not limited to, programming, day centers, and residences.

Meets: the second Thursday of every other month or as needed. Please check the board's calendar or contact the district office to confirm the next committee meeting date and time.
