Squad 7 is the Inspector General for the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA), the largest public housing authority in the United States. Squad 7 investigates fraud, corruption, and other criminal activity at NYCHA, including allegations of housing fraud, contractor fraud concerning billions of dollars of public contracting work, and crimes involving NYCHA employees. In addition, Squad 7 conducts joint investigations concerning illegal gang and narcotics activity in public housing.
