Replace License

If your business or vehicle license is lost or stolen, you can submit a request for a replacement. DCWP will only issue a replacement license if your license is active.

Replacement Fees:

  • DCWP License Plate/Medallion (Tow Truck, Sightseeing Bus, Horse Drawn Cab): $25
  • Decal/Sticker (Pedicab, Sightseeing Bus, Horse Drawn Cab): $25
  • DCWP License: There is no fee for license replacement.

IMPORTANT: If you are a General Vendor and your license is lost or stolen, you must first file a report with the NYPD, then submit the “lost property incident slip” or complaint number to DCWP. Your DCWP license number must be on the report.

How do I request a replacement license online?

  1. Create Account or Log In.
  2. When you are logged in, you will see a Business Dashboardwith your business records, including all license records, submitted and draft application forms, pending fees, and other records related to your business.
    Note: If you have not yet linked your business to your account, go to the “Services” tab on your Business Dashboard and select “Link Business to My Account.
  3. Under the "Licenses" section, select the license you need to replace.
  4. View the License details.
  5. Select the action "Amendment."
  6. Fill out requested information.
  7. Submit the request to replace your license.
