TLC is committed to providing accessible rides through TLC-licensed taxi, rideshare, and car services through a range of initiatives included below.

Driver Resources

All drivers are trained and required to assist customers with disabilities when requested:

Drivers will receive a $10 bonus, in addition to the fare, for every completed wheelchair accessible vehicle request originating from the call center. Enroll in TIF (here).

FHV Accessible Service Providers

Drivers can receive accessible trips by signing up with following approved accessible vehicle dispatchers or through their preferred car service base.

For-Hire Vehicle (FHV)

All rideshare, livery, black car, and limousine services are required to provide a wheelchair accessible vehicle when requested.

Passengers can request an accessible trip by contacting their preferred service over the phone or using any car service app licensed in NYC. Passengers will pay the same fare for a non-accessible trip from the same car service
