Launched in 2023, NYCBenefits funds 36 direct service providers to expand benefits access across New York City through: outreach, enrollment support, and case management services. These services are tailored to a households’ specific needs, and include:

• Direct application assistance
• Support with documentation, online benefits tools, and eligibility interviews
• Benefits maintenance assistance and advocacy
• Referrals for other services

NYCBenefits providers assist with a wide variety of public benefits, including:

• Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
• Cash Assistance
• Fair Fares
• Health insurance, including Medicare and Medicaid 
• Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
• Housing benefits
• Childcare benefits
