As an ER Front Line volunteer, you are just that--the front line of our emergency room. We have a multitude of responsibilities to our patients. Some of which include, customer service at the highest standard, accuracy in information gathered, respect and privacy, and expediting their visit. In all walks of life, the first impression paves the comfort level for all individuals. Your most important role is to be a Patient Enabler. It will be most helpful to the patients, families, and clinical staff if you assist with communication. Being an active listener in our waiting room and treatment areas enhances a positive patient experience. Basically, you'll roll up your sleeves and do what is needed to be done.
