The Coney Island Hospital Community Advisory Board (CAB) is a vital link between the hospital and southern Brooklyn communities served by Coney Island Hospital.
To forge an essential partnership with patients, hospital staff and community organizations. These partnerships will enable Coney Island Hospital to provide the best health care available for the physical, mental, and social well-being of the people it serves. The Community Advisory Board holds monthly meetings that are open to the public.
Who are the members?
Members of the Community Advisory Board are selected by Coney Island Hospital Executive Director, the Brooklyn Borough President, and the Brooklyn Community Planning Boards. The voting members represent the following categories:
- Consumers, who are the majority of members
- Community representatives
- Community planning boards
