The GHI Senior Care Rider Subsidy is a payment made by the Management Benefits Fund directly to the Health Benefits Program on behalf of Retired Fund members and their spouses/domestic partners covered under the GHI Senior Care Program and who elect to purchase the prescription drug rider.

Retired Management Benefits Fund members and their spouses/domestic partners covered under the GHI Senior Care Program who elect to purchase the prescription drug rider are eligible to receive this subsidy.

The Fund pays a $50 per person subsidy ($100 maximum) directly to the health benefits program on behalf of Retired Fund members and their spouses/domestic partners who are covered under the GHI Senior Care Program and prescription drug rider in an effort to offset the rising costs of prescription drugs.
