Rules and Master Plans

A master plan is a set of rules created and approved by the Commission that authorizes staff-level permits in certain historic districts throughout the city. Master plans outline criteria for certain types of alterations, and if the applicant shows the proposed work meets the criteria, a staff preservationist can issue a permit.
