Registrants Project Checklists: Place of Assembly Certificate of Operation (PACO)

Project Checklists contain project-specific details as they apply to the scope of work of the project to provide compliance with the NYC Construction Codes and other regulations. This section contains a list of tasks to assist with compliance.

Checklists include:

• Project Completion Close-out Checklist

Pre-Permit Checklist

• Where a Place of Assembly involves construction, the project shall comply with the Construction Codes, Zoning Resolution, Fire Code and other requirements, including Special and Progress Inspections under the applicable Building Systems, Renovation, Alteration and/or New Building project guidelines.

Project Completion Close-out Checklist

• Construction permits are not issued for Place of Assembly applications, as there is no construction work involved, but such applications are examined by DOB and given a status of Completed, if approved. However, a Place of Assembly requires that any existing or proposed construction comply with the Zoning Resolution and other regulations as applicable, and include such details in their Alteration or New Building submission.
