Housing

The Administration for Children’s Services provides various supports to NYC Children’s Services clients to strengthen their housing in NY communities. These services are provided to families reunifying from foster care who are at risk of homelessness or housing instability, families receiving eligible prevention services to prevent their children from entering the foster care system, and youths aging out of the foster care system to their own responsibility. Finding and keeping safe stable housing is one of the most important things needed to guide a family towards an improved and successful future. Stable housing is a pathway to self-sufficiency.
