LGBTQAI+ Community Liaison
If you want help finding support and services that will be a good fit for you, contact the LGBTQAI+ Community Liaison at lgbtq@acs.nyc.gov to find groups or upcoming events that may be helpful.
The Liaison can also provide trainings. These trainings include Peer Ally Trainings for foster care and juvenile justice facilities that help allies learn strategies to support their LGBTQAI+ peers and Know Your Rights trainings for LGBTQAI+ youth currently in ACS care.
In addition, there is a subcommittee of ACS’ larger Youth Leadership Council that focuses on policy, practice, and programming. Let the Liaison know if you are interested in joining and want to learn more about eligibility and the application process.
