The Pediatric Department at Elmhurst Hospital Center is responsible for the care provided to all infants, children and adolescents in the inpatient and Ambulatory Care services. The Pediatric Ambulatory Service consists of a total of 12 primary care and subspecialty clinics, including a Pediatric Ambulatory Clinic, Adolescent Services, and a Developmental Clinic.

The Pediatric Inpatient Service cares for all children admitted at Elmhurst Hospital Center, including those who require general or special surgery. The Pediatric Newborn Service, consisting of 4 nurseries and a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, cares for the more than 4,500 infants born at Elmhurst Hospital Center each year.
