Short Term / Sub-Acute Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) Accredited Rehabilitation Program
Our rehabilitation services link an interdisciplinary team of highly-skilled professionals dedicated to helping each resident achieve the highest level of function to restore/maintain independence. Our Specialized Long & Short Term Rehabilitation Services include occupational and speech therapy.

Physical Therapy
Service is provided daily under the care of experienced clinicians, using state-of -the-art equipment. Residents and persons affected by movement and mobility dysfunctions receive restorative care in order to regain functions and prevent disability. Recipients of this service are able to eliminate or reduce health risks, and enhance their general health and quality of life.

Occupational Therapy
Those with limitations receive care to regain functions in areas of daily living including grooming, bathing, toileting, dressing, and feeding. Occupational therapy service is provided to facilitate acquisition of skills that enhance dignity and improve self-confidence in residents and persons served, resulting in a more enriched life.

Speech Therapy
Speech therapy service is geared towards restoration of voice, speech articulation and swallowing. The care is provided by licensed speech and language pathologists following assessments and evaluations for communication disorders. Through intervention, residents and persons served regain memory, comprehension and control of their environment.

Therapeutic Recreational Therapy
Our Therapeutic Recreational Programs are customized by our recreational team to meet the needs of each resident in a continuously engaging and psychologically motivating atmosphere.

Group activities and one-to-one communication are highlighted throughout our programs of live entertainment, games such as the Wii video-gaming system, tea soirees, paradise trips, religious services, shopping trips and birthday parties. Our Therapeutic Recreational Therapy team also has created a unique Steel Band Therapy Program, clinically designed to enhance the participants' range of motion and social interactions.

For clients with macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy or other eye conditions, we offer Smart View Xtend devices which magnify and enlarge text, objects and actions. The Xtend devices are used to assist and maintain their sense of normalcy by making everyday activities like viewing photos, reading labels, browsing through a magazine, writing a check or doing a crossword puzzle easy once again.
