Our Diabetes Management Program takes a multi-faceted approach to help patients maintain control of their diabetes. We have an in-house program for our residents as well as the Adult Day Healthcare Program, which offers registrants a comprehensive course on how to better manage their diabetes.

The in-house program involves weekly evaluations of diabetic residents with poor control by a team consisting of an endocrinologist, a nutritionist and an Assistant Director of Nursing. The Adult Day Health Care Program is a 10-month program through which registrants are educated about the diverse effects of diabetes and the various means by which they can control their disease. The knowledge gained by participants can be shared with their family members and community. Because diabetes is approaching epidemic proportions in our community, this program is a great asset to our community’s health. Having a specialty team that focuses on providing support for diabetic issues helps decrease the multiple complications that can arise from this disorder.
