VA Work Study

The VA Work-Study Program is an opportunity to get paid for part-time work while you study at a college, vocational, or professional training program. Visit the VA Work-Study website for program details, including eligibility, approved education benefits, and how compensation works.

Important: Work-study roles at the NYC Department of Veterans’ Services (DVS) are limited, competitive, and not guaranteed. All positions follow our regular interview and hiring process, and any offer is contingent on verification of VA Work-Study eligibility and enrollment.

• Finalists complete standard onboarding; placement begins only after VA Work-Study eligibility is confirmed.
• Schedules are part-time and coordinated with your academic commitments.
