Individual Waste Action Plans

The Individual Waste Management Action Plans were developed in response to Paragraph 45 of Exhibit B to NYCHA’s 2019 agreement with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). In order to improve the quality of life of our residents, the IAPs were created by NYCHA’s Waste Management Department as tools to provide a clear overview of waste management activities at each consolidation and facilitate better collaboration between Central Office (CO) and property staff. Site visits and meetings between the Waste Management Department and every consolidation’s property management staff occur throughout the summer and fall of each year to gather information for the plans. Plans based on information gathered in 2025 are below.
