Whether your organization is interested in learning more about contracting with NYC, strengthening your organization's internal controls, or wants to connect with other nonprofits we are here to help.

• Request Volunteers (DFA): Aging Connect places NYC Aging registered volunteers at your organization.

• Volunteer Recruitment (NYC Service): Sign up to get help recruiting skilled and passionate volunteers

• Host an AmeriCorps service member (NYC Service): Receive capacity-building support to achieve your mission and reach more New Yorkers

• Hire Qualified Employees (HRA): HRA Business Link works with employers to fill their job openings, and provides opportunities for job seekers receiving cash assistance, as well as free job matching services to all job-seeking New Yorkers

• Recruit at a City Job Fair (HRA): Sign up to participate in an upcoming city job fair.

• Apply for a Background Check (NYS OCFS): Learn about and apply for a NYS background check for any employee or volunteer working with children.

• Family Development Credential Program (DYCD): New York State professional development training for frontline staff and management of DYCD-funded and other community-based organizations, non-profits or designated City agencies located in any of NYC's 42 Neighborhood Development Areas (NDA's)

• Child Welfare/Juvenile Justice Training and Workforce Development (ACS): Training for child welfare and juvenile justice direct service staff and supervisors.

City Tools and Facilities

• Complimentary Subway Transportation Program (DYCD/MTA): Provides youth-serving organizations with free subway certificates for educational and recreational trips.

• NYCityMap: Explore various maps of NYC to access data on zoning, population, environment, health, crime, vaccination sites, and more.

• Park Permits (NYC Parks): Access permits for facilities including sports fields, event space, and pools.

• Licenses, Permit Applications and Registrations (DOT): Access permits for street lighting, construction, parking, vehicles, and more.

• NYC DOT Art Partners and Temporary Art Program (DOT): Opportunities for community-based organizations and artists to present public art on DOT property in all five boroughs. Visit the Community Commissions program for DOT-funded opportunities.

Capacity Building

• Free Legal Assistance (SBS): Free Legal, compliance, and governance support to nonprofits and community-based organizations

• Nonprofit Management Assistance (SBS): Organizational development opportunities for organizations to identify strengths and grow through challenges

• Capacity Building Resources (DYCD): DYCD funded organizations may apply for scholarships and support through intensive consulting engagements funded by DYCD.

• Communities of Color Nonprofit Stabilization Fund: Annual application for consulting assistance to help NYC nonprofits thrive.
