Board/Staff Retreat Coaching
An effective and engaged board can help nonprofit leaders connect with their communities and stakeholders in order to stabilize, sustain, and/or grow their organizations. We provide a direct consulting opportunity for senior staff and board chairs of community-based development organizations (CBDOs) to plan a board retreat and make space to strengthen the governance, fundraising, and strategic capabilities of their organizations. Through a series of trainings leading up and after the board retreat, participating CBDOs will be connected to a coach from Cause Effective and focus on important organizational topics like cultivating relationships with new donors, maximizing fundraising campaigns, conducting a board assessment, and/or increasing your organization’s visibility.
The program format will match CBDOs with a consultant to help plan a staff or board retreat and includes a combination of customized coaching to assess your organization’s specific characteristics and annual goals along with facilitating a focused retreat. This is a competitive opportunity limited to four organizations.
