New York City Emergency Management can send knowledgeable staff members and NYC CERT volunteers to educate your community about preparing for emergencies. Use the link below to request an event in your workplace, school, community center, or house of worship. You also can request presentations and materials in other languages.

Summer 2026 Availability
Due to the FIFA World Cup and a high volume of large-scale citywide events, the Ready New York program will have limited staffing and resources throughout June and July.
Please take note of the following restrictions before submitting your request:

• We are unable to support event requests on the following dates:
  
• June: 13, 16, 22, 25, 27, 30
  
• July: 3 – 8 & 17 – 19
  
• Limited Capacity: Requests for other dates in June and July will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and are not guaranteed.
  

Recommendations: To ensure your community receives the best possible support, we strongly encourage scheduling your event for August or later. If you have any questions, please email us at readyny@oem.nyc.gov.
