The New York City Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) is seeking to identify organizations to provider community, and youth development activities at the Rangel Houses Community Center. The vendor will implement and provide hands-on activities focused on supporting the development of children and young adults and fostering positive relationships within the community. Programming and activities should primarily take place at the Rangel Houses Community Center and within the Rangel Houses Development. Activities should be designed to support middle school and high school aged young adults. The vendor can propose a wide range of services to address the diverse needs of Rangel youth residents, including educational programs, health and wellness initiatives, recreational activities, soft skills workforce development, and social support services. Such comprehensive services would help foster a well-rounded, supportive environment for the community.

Community Resources for Employment and Development Program (CRED) NYC

The New York City Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) is seeking to identify organizations with experience providing workforce development and wraparound services to underemployed or unemployed participants, ages 18 to 40, involved in the criminal justice system or impacted by community violence. 

In the Community Resources for Employment and Development Program (CRED) NYC, participants will be offered work readiness training, occupational training, and internships for in-demand sectors for up to 24 weeks, with 3 months of follow-up services, including job placement, after completing training. In addition, participants will have access to a myriad of supportive services throughout the program, including mental health counseling and connections to social services, resources, and benefits that would enable them to successfully engage in the program activities (e.g., housing, life coaching, academic support, legal support, access to healthcare, etc.).

Through this RFP, DYCD aims to fund integrated and holistic program models that will strengthen New York City’s (City) workforce development system and help young people gain the support, educational credentials and skills needed to succeed in today’s economy.

Neighborhood Youth Team Sports Grant

Neighborhood Youth Team Sports Grant, funded by New York State Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS), will provide opportunities for youth under 18 in under-resourced communities to learn and participate in team sports activities. This may include educational instruction or upgrading of equipment and facilities to prepare and/or enable youth to participate in team sports.

This opportunity is available to eligible non-DYCD providers in addition to DYCD providers that do not have youth service contracts (organizations that do not have existing COMPASS, Beacon, Cornerstone, or Saturday Night Lights contracts).

DYCD is seeking a qualified vendors to provide Literacy programs in New York City. The populations served by the programs that are the subject of this RFP are middle school student in public schools serving low-income neighborhoods, and adults that are English Language Learners (ELLs), lack sufficient mastery of basic educational skills and/or lack high school diplomas. The programs' primary purposes are to provide contextualized literacy services to help participants and communities thrive. The program will improve a broad range of competencies related to literacy, such as basic language skills (reading, writing, speaking, and listening), and support participants to meet their contextualized goals in areas including but not limited to parenting, workplace, health care and civic engagement.
