When you file a complaint with 311, the Health Department receives it and will respond to you. Submit a complaint through 311 Online, or download the 311 Mobile App for non-emergency complaints.

Media, Speaker, Record Requests
You can contact the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene to:
- Make a media inquiry by emailing the Press Office at pressoffice@health.nyc.gov
- Request records through a Freedom of Information Law (FOIL) request.
- Request a Health Department Speaker.
- Service of Process: The Health Department is accepting service of process in-person at Gotham Center, 42-09 28th Street - CN31, Long Island City. The email address for service is OGCServiceEF@health.nyc.gov. Service of process on individuals should continue to proceed in the manner required by applicable law.
