Handle Consumer Complaints

What happens when a consumer files a complaint against your business with DCWP?

After reviewing the consumer complaint, we will contact you by mail or phone to get your side of the story. Note: If you are a DCWP licensee, you must respond to our inquiry within 20 days or you may face additional violations.

A DCWP mediator will work with you and the consumer to try to resolve the complaint quickly.

Can I submit my business response online?

Yes. You can use DCWP online services to submit a Business Response Form.
