Gouverneur's Department of Women's Health offers a wide range of high quality services for women of all ages that improve overall health and well-being.
From routine pap tests to post-menopausal care, our patient-centered service provides easy access to appointments, with an on-site pharmacy, diagnostic laboratory and imaging center. A state-of-the art electronic patient information system ensures timely and accurate medical records.
In addition to the services offered in our comprehensive women's health center, Gouverneur offers several wellness programs with the Department of Medicine that focus on healthy living and chronic disease management. These include asthma, diabetes, weight management, nutritional counseling and smoking cessation. Women who participate in our wellness programs have access to special workshops and support groups that emphasize the connection between mind, body and health.
Gouverneur is committed to ensuring that women have access to affordable, high quality healthcare services, regardless of ability to pay. Free or low-cost services are available through our participation in the Federal Title X Program, New York State Prenatal Care Assistance Program (PCAP), Family Health Plus and HHC Options Program.
