Our podiatrists can order laboratory tests, X-rays, bone density tests and ultrasound tests to assist with a diagnosis of your foot problem. All of these services are performed on site for your convenience and in most cases are done at the time of your appointment. Referrals to physical therapy are provided when needed. Podiatry Department staff members are often able to obtain pre-authorizations from insurance companies as an added service for our patients. Gouverneur is one of the few outpatient facilities to have a fully electronic medical record system. This allows your Podiatrist to access your patient chart, x-rays or labs quickly and easily and to include up-to-the-minute detail about your health history.
