Do’s and Don’ts

If you are granted a short-term rental registration, you will need to stay compliant as a host. Here are a few do’s and don’ts to help you keep your registration. 

Do: Host only in the unit where you live 

Don’t: Rent out an entire unit, even if it’s where you live 

Do: Have 1 or 2 guests 

Don’t: Allow more than 2 guests (not including children under 4 years old) 

Do: Live there during your guests’ stay 

Don’t: Go out of town or stay elsewhere while you have guests 

Do: Keep your listing legal after it is approved 

Don’t: Risk fines or revocation by advertising an illegal use
