The Inwood 9th Avenue RFP was released on October 9, 2024. Submissions were due on January 24, 2025.

HPD reviewed submissions and designated the winning development team on December 10, 2025. To learn more about the RFP process, please navigate to the RFP Process & FAQs tab.
On December 10, 2025, HPD announced the designation of Inwood 9th Avenue to a development team consisting of Slate Property Group, Xenolith Partners, and Comunilife. The development team will transform the site into mixed-use affordable housing with a marine focused STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) center, an indoor-outdoor soccer field, and a publicly accessible waterfront open space along the Harlem River.
The project is expected to produce over 600 new affordable homes for individuals, families, and seniors.
