The removal of the temporary bridge at Corlears Hook requires overnight work and a full closure of the FDR Drive northbound and southbound between Exit 2 (Brooklyn Bridge, Manhattan Civic Center) and Exit 5 (E. Houston Street, Williamsburg Bridge). Vehicles should follow all posted signs and Traffic Enforcement Agents.

The removal of the temporary bridge at Corlears Hook requires overnight work and a full closure of the FDR Drive northbound and southbound between Exit 2 (Brooklyn Bridge, Manhattan Civic Center) and Exit 5 (E. Houston Street, Williamsburg Bridge). Vehicles should follow all posted signs and Traffic Enforcement Agents.

Location 2: East River Park, from Corlears Hook Bridge to Shared Use Path Adjacent to Tennis Area

Location 3 & 4: East River Park, from Tennis Area to E. 15th Street

Nightwork: Northern Section of East River Park between E. Houston Street and E. 14th Street
Ongoing until further notice.
Overnight work hours are required for multiple activities occurring within the northern section of East River Park between E. Houston Street and E. 14th Street, including utility work, median demolition, and floodwall construction. Some of these activities can be disruptive and loud. Partial FDR Drive and FDR Drive Service Road closures will be in effect during this time. Please follow detours and all on-site signage to ensure safety. Noise, vibration, and air quality monitors are in place.

Closure of East River Park Track, Esplanade, E 6th Street Bridge, and E. Houston Street Overpass | Chinese
Beginning September 8, 2025
Phase 2 construction requires the closure of the full northern section of East River Park, including the Track and Field area, esplanade, and park access via the E. 6th Street Bridge and Houston Street overpass. Please follow onsite signage. Noise and air monitors are in place. Please visit our website for information on access points and open areas in the southern portion of the park as of September 5, 2025.

East River Greenway Closure & Detour Between Montgomery Street & Stuyvesant Cove Park | Chinese
Beginning Tuesday, May 27, 2025
Construction operations in East River Park require the closure of the Greenway, 24 hours/day, 7 days/week. To access East River Park Track & Field area, use entrances at E. 6th Street and E. Houston Street. To access new southern amenities, use the Delancey Street Bridge. Full access plan available on the ESCR website.

Location 5: E. 10th Street to E. 13th Street, Adjacent to Riis Houses

Mobilization of Equipment for E. 13th Street Floodwall Construction | Chinese
Beginning October 5th, 2025
To facilitate the construction of the E. 13th Street Floodwall, mobilization will begin to take place in the vicinity of E. 13th Street and FDR Drive. Partial FDR Drive lane closures will be in effect during this time. Please follow detours and all on-site signage to ensure safety. Please note that some of these activities will take place at night, and they may be loud and disruptive. Noise & air quality monitors are in place.

Nightwork: ConEd Manhole Work in the Vicinity of E. 10th Street and FDR Drive | Chinese
Beginning Monday, August 11, 2025, ongoing for about six weeks
Overnight work hours are required for ConEd manhole construction in the vicinity of E. 10th Street and FDR Drive. Partial FDR Drive and FDR Drive Service Road closures will be in effect during this time. Please follow detours and all on-site signage to ensure safety. Noise, vibration, and air quality monitors are in place.

Sidewalk Closure & Pedestrian Detour: E. 10th Street at FDR Drive Service Road | Chinese
Beginning Wednesday, June 18, 2025
Ongoing for 2-3 months
Activities related to the removal of the E. 10th Street Bridge will require the closure of sidewalks on the north side of E. 10th Street, between the traffic circle and FDR Drive Service Road. Building access will be maintained at all times. For your safety, please follow all posted signs and flaggers.

Location 6: Open Areas of East River Park and Corlears Hook Park

New Access Pattern for Pier 42 & Corlears Hook Ferry | Chinese
Beginning September 5, 2025
The Corlears Hook temporary pedestrian bridge will close as early as Friday, September 5, 2025, as the new Corlears Hook Bridge opens. The new bridge provides direct access between East River Park, Corlears Hook Park, Pier 42, and the Corlears Hook Ferry Terminal. The temporary bridge will be removed at a later date (full Advisory to come).

Opening of Corlears Hook Park, Pedestrian Bridge, and East River Park South Amenities | Spanish | Chinese

We are pleased to announce the opening of the Corlears Hook Pedestrian Bridge, Corlears Hook Park flagpole area and additional East River Park Phase 1 amenities, including:

6 additional tennis courts
Amphitheater area
Esplanade and seating areas
Direct access to Pier 42 and the Corlears Hook Ferry Terminal
