Temporary Closure of Delancey Street Bridge | Spanish | Chinese
Monday, December 15 to Friday, December 19
A temporary closure of the Delancey Street Bridge will be in place for approximately one week to accommodate the installation of the permanent railing for the bridge ramp and staircase. Pedestrians may access and exit East River Park using the Corlears Hook Bridge at Cherry Street. Noise and air quality monitors are in place. For your safety, please follow all posted signs and directions from safety personnel. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience as we conduct these upgrades.

Overnight work hours are required for multiple activities occurring within the northern section of East River Park between E. Houston Street and E. 14th Street, including utility work, median demolition, and floodwall construction. Some of these activities can be disruptive and loud. Partial FDR Drive and FDR Drive Service Road closures will be in effect during this time. Please follow detours and all on-site signage to ensure safety. Closure of East River Park Track, Esplanade, E 6th Street Bridge, and E. Houston Street Overpass | Chinese
Beginning September 8, 2025
Phase 2 construction requires the closure of the full northern section of East River Park, including the Track and Field area, esplanade, and park access via the E. 6th Street Bridge and Houston Street overpass. Please follow onsite signage. Noise and air monitors are in place. Please visit our website for information on access points and open areas in the southern portion of the park as of September 5, 2025.
East River Greenway Closure & Detour Between Montgomery Street & Stuyvesant Cove Park | Chinese

Construction operations in East River Park require the closure of the Greenway, 24 hours/day, 7 days/week. To access East River Park Track & Field area, use entrances at E. 6th Street and E. Houston Street. To access new southern amenities, use the Delancey Street Bridge. Full access plan available on the ESCR website.

Mobilization of Equipment for E. 13th Street Floodwall Construction | Chinese

To facilitate the construction of the E. 13th Street Floodwall, mobilization will begin to take place in the vicinity of E. 13th Street and FDR Drive. Temporary Outage of Stadium Lights Surrounding East River Park Fields 1 & 2
Beginning, Sunday, December 7, ongoing for about 2 weeks
ConEd utility relocation will require a temporary electric outage in East River Park, affecting stadium lights surrounding East River Park Fields 1 & 2. Access to Fields 1 & 2 will remain available to the public. Pathway lighting throughout the park will not be affected.
New Access Pattern for Pier 42 & Corlears Hook Ferry | Chinese
Beginning September 5, 2025
The Corlears Hook temporary pedestrian bridge will close as early as Friday, September 5, 2025, as the new Corlears Hook Bridge opens. The new bridge provides direct access between East River Park, Corlears Hook Park, Pier 42, and the Corlears Hook Ferry Terminal. The temporary bridge will be removed at a later date (full Advisory to come).

Beginning in Spring 2025
To facilitate the construction of the E. 13th Street Floodwall, preparatory operations will be taking place in East River Park and on the FDR Drive. Access to portions of the Greenway may be temporarily limited to ensure safety. Partial FDR Drive lane closures will be in effect during this time. Please follow detours and all on-site signage to ensure safety. Please note that some of these activities will take place at night, and they may be loud and disruptive.
