SweepNYC Metrics
Every six months, DSNY submits publicly available metrics on mechanized street sweeping operations, in accordance with New York City Administrative Code § 16-111.2.
You can track the progress of street sweeping on blocks with street cleaning regulation using data recorded from GPS devices installed on DSNY's mechanical brooms.
The reports include:
- Mechanical Sweeper Routes: Details about the number of routes scheduled within each community board based on posted street cleaning regulations for the specified timeframe.
- Percentage of Street Cleaning Routes Completed: Percentages representing an analysis of street segments traversed in accordance with posted street cleaning regulations within each community board for the specified timeframe.
