DSNY tracks the curbside and containerized refuse and recycling it collects. When offloading waste, our trucks pass over scales, which transmit tonnage data into a centralized database.

Statistics on additional tonnage managed by DSNY and materials collected through outside diversion programs are available in a separate annual report.
