Veteran Services

Veterans Unit
The veterans dorm is a structured programming program unit where there is a code of conduct that dictates behavior and treatment of others.  Services are provided bi-weekly by veteran justice outreach coordinator and United Veterans Mentors Inc. Offered in OBCC.

NYC Department of Veteran Services
DVS enrolls incarcerated veterans in their services and assists with post-release housing, veteran benefits, and other forms of support. Offered in all facilities. Click here for more information.

Veteran Mentors
Veteran Mentors visit the veterans Unit biweekly to provide one-on-one counseling and support, as well as assistance with discharge planning. Offered in OBCC.

Veterans Administration
Assists Veterans with benefits, housing, and court advocacy throughout the facilities. Offered in all facilities. Click here for more information.
