In-person visits are open with reduced capacity to ensure necessary social distancing. Additionally, in-person visits will be offered on an altered schedule. Please see the In-Person Visit webpage for more information.
The Department strongly encourages you to pre-register for an in-person visit. Due to social distancing space constraints, visitors who arrive without pre-registering are not guaranteed an opportunity to visit their loved one.
PLEASE NOTE: The Department is no longer accepting packages during in-person visitation at this time. Packages can be received through the mail only.
Televisits
The Department recognizes the importance of connecting individuals in our custody to their family and support networks through visits. In order to both facilitate these connections and maintain the safety and wellbeing of individuals in our care the department has implemented a televisiting program.
With this program, televisiting can be accessed from home. All you need is an electronic device with a camera, an internet connection, and an active email account. A total of three individuals are able to participate in one televisit at one time. Please see the Televisit webpage for more information.
If you would like to schedule a televisit, please fill-out the information requested on the web form. Once you are confirmed for the televisit, you will receive a confirmation email which will include the date and time of the televisit, along with an access link.
When Can I Schedule a Televisit or In-Person Visit?
Televisiting is offered in the morning on Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
In-person visits are offered in the afternoon on Wednesday and Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and in the morning on Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Visitors must arrive one hour before their scheduled visit time, or between the hours of 1pm and 6:30pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and between the hours of 7am and 12:30pm on Fridays.
All visits will be scheduled according to the person in custody’s last name as outlined in the visit calendars, which can be found on the Visit Schedule webpage.
It is the Department's goal to provide visits to all those who request it, however due to high demand and a limited number of devices, not every request for a televisit will be initially satisfied. Likewise, due to reduced capacity for in-person visits, not every request for an in-person visit may be met.
Please be advised that a visit is not confirmed until a confirmation email is received at the email address provided with a date and time range for the visit. If you do not receive a confirmation email within 24 hours of the last requested visit date (for example, you submitted as a possible option a visit time for a Thursday morning and have not received an email by Wednesday morning), please resubmit another web form with different dates and times.
