Programs and Community Partnerships

The Division of Programs and Community Partnerships (DPCP) works to enhance the quality of life for people in custody by providing meaningful opportunities for learning, growth, and connection. These programs support rehabilitation and prepare individuals for a successful return to the community.

DPCP’s services focus on five main areas:

  • Activities: Structured leisure programs that promote positive social interaction and reduce idleness.
  • Enrichment: Creative programs that encourage expression and critical thinking through art, music, theater, and writing.
  • Evidence-Based Programs: Evidence based interventions led by trained professionals that promote positive behavior and personal development.
  • Education and Workforce Development: Academic and vocational programs that build skills, provide certifications, and improve employment readiness.
  • Reentry Services: Programs that prepare individuals for release and community reintegration, offered in partnership with internal and external organizations.

DPCP also provides essential support services, including educational, religious, counseling, social services and law library. Together, these programs support the Department’s mission to promote safety, rehabilitation, and successful reentry.
