Field Equipment Lending Library

Program Overview

DCAS runs the Field Equipment Lending Library (FELL) in collaboration with the City University of New York's Building Performance Lab (CUNY BPL). Offered through the NYC Energy Tools website, FELL enables City staff to borrow energy-related field testing and diagnostic equipment to evaluate the performance of their buildings and identify operational issues. CUNY BPL staff can also help City staff select the correct tools to diagnose building issues and get trained to use them. To date, staff from 20 City agencies have borrowed equipment to help improve the performance of their buildings. FELL offers free courier delivery service to City staff throughout the five boroughs.
