To meet New York City’s ambitious climate goals, the City’s energy management workforce also must grow. In the coming months, the City will be recruiting for different types of energy management positions at a range of experience levels. Energy Strategist roles | Develop and implement strategies to achieve progress towards the City’s emissions and energy reduction goals. Best-suited for candidates with both energy project management and strategic planning experience. |
Energy Manager roles | Develop and manage energy management and emissions reductions efforts across the City’s varying agencies. Best suited for candidates with energy management and program management experience. |
Energy Analyst roles | Analyze energy usage across the City’s portfolio and identify high-impact opportunities for energy, emissions, and cost savings through projects or other interventions. Best-suited for candidates with data analysis backgrounds, with preference for candidates who have experience with building energy and energy billing data. |
Energy Project Manager roles | Manage the delivery of energy efficiency and clean energy projects across the City’s portfolio. Best-suited for staff with engineering, architecture, building operations, or construction project management backgrounds who also bring energy expertise. |
Energy Engineer roles | Provide technical engineering guidance related to energy efficiency and clean energy projects and create new resources and tools to help DCAS and our agency partners identify, prioritize, and evaluate projects. Designed for candidates with engineering backgrounds who also bring energy experience. |
