Remote financial counseling allows you to meet one-on-one with a professional financial counselor over web-based video chat or telephone.
A financial counselor can help you:

What to do before your first appointment:
If you are meeting with one of the City’s financial counselors for the first time, please complete the following forms at least two days prior to your scheduled appointment date:
- Download Waiver Form
*You must complete and submit the Waiver form at least two business days prior to your scheduled appointment.
- Download the Intake Form
We recommend you complete and have the Intake form ready for submission during your scheduled appointment.
- Download the Financial Health Assessment Form
We recommend you complete and have the Assessment form ready for submission during your scheduled appointment.
Your counselor will review these documents ahead of your appointment to understand your personal financial situation and be prepared to address your specific financial needs and long-term goals.
If you are scheduled for a video chat appointment:
- Insert technical requirements and steps
If you are scheduled for a phone appointment:
- Your counselor will contact you at the number you provided when you scheduled your appointment.
- If this number has changed, or you originally signed up for a video chat appointment, but do not meet the technical requirements, please provide the best number for the counselor to reach you at your scheduled time: (XXX) XXX-XXXX
