Filing a Timeliness Appeal with the CSC

Individuals who seek to appeal a determination that their appeal to the agency appeal panel was “not timely” or “untimely” may appeal this finding to the CSC within 30 days of the date of the late appeal notice.

Appeals must include a copy of the written late to appeal notice informing you either that:

 “Your appeal of [exam title, exam number] cannot be considered after the designated appeal period because your appeal was not timely”

or

“The Appeal Review Panel has reviewed your appeal on the above examination and determined that it is untimely.”

Submit Online

Appellants (or their counsel) may submit appeals electronically directly to the CSC via the Internet Intake portal on the CSC website. A valid email address is required to use the Internet Intake system, and appellants must continue to check their email daily after submitting an appeal.

Do not submit the same appeal more than once. When an appeal is received, the CSC will review it and respond with further instructions.
