DOB NOW: Safety is the online platform for Owners, Professional Engineers, Registered Architects, Licensees, and Filing Representatives to submit their compliance filings with the Department of Buildings. DOB NOW: Safety is currently available for:

 

  • Boiler compliance filings
  • Elevator compliance filings
  • Energy compliance filings
  • Façade compliance filings
  • Violation payments and waiver requests

 

Using DOB NOW: Safety

An eFiling account is needed to use DOB NOW: Safety. If you already have an eFiling account, use the email and password used to login to DOB NOW. If you need to register for an account, visit the Registration Information page for additional information.

After registering for an account in eFiling, you can use DOB NOW: Safety to:

 

  • Submit compliance filings and report unsafe activity
  • Make payments
  • View and search information related to your filings
  • Upload documents
  • View the status of a filing
  • Receive emails at milestones throughout the filing process

Jobs filed in DOB NOW: Safety will not appear in BIS. You can access this information through the DOB NOW Public Portal or through the City’s Open Data Portal.
