Registrant Project Requirements:
Temp Chute: Allowable Work Without A Registered Design Professional Submitting Construction Documents For Department Approval

Per BC 3303.5.5.5, a Temporary Construction Chute shall not require design and permits if:

  • Installed on the exterior of a building or structure at a height of 40 feet or less in height above the level of the adjoining ground;

  • Has been designed by a manufacturer and is installed in accordance with the manufacturer’s design; and

  • Does not attach to or impart a load on a scaffold.
